It's Your Home.  Make It Work For You!

In your home, you and your needs come first and foremost.

I get asked often, "What is the one thing you hate to see in someone's home?"  And, despite the fact as a decorator most people assume I am always judging their homes (which I am not...ever, pinky promise), there are only 2 things that ever bother me.

  1. Lack of Personalization
  2. Lack of Functionality

I love nothing more than walking into a home that tells the story of the people that live there AND a home that lives (works) for the family.

Just because the floor plan says the room by the kitchen is a dining room, doesn't mean you can't make it a den or an office or a playroom or a yoga studio.

How you use your space is one of the most powerful ways to personalize your home.  Your home should work for you and support all the things you love in life.  Your home should be a beautiful, functional, nourishing place for you to live, work, and love!

Create Your Stop Doing List

Sometimes what you commit to stop doing is more important than what you add to your running to-do list. Whenever you feel like your home is getting away from you, sit down and create a stop doing list for fresh perspective.

Don't Ever Settle

You want to 'finish' decorating quickly, under budget, and with amazing results. It's tempting to just settle for whatever is available or whatever is on sale. But, for a home you love, you should never settle.
