Find Your Do-It-Yourself Spirit

Do-it-yourself projects are at the very core of my being.  I love taking something ho-hum and making it AH-mazing.

The things I love most in my home are the things I have had a hand in making.

Before you start DIYing, the very idea of it sounds scary.  The know-how, the tools, the inevitable mistakes...overwhelming.  But, if you have the DIY spirit, you'll find it impossible to keep your hands still.

You just gotta try it.  So many people look for no-sew projects, because they don't know how to sew.  The truth is they're scared.  The first time you run a piece of fabric through a sewing machine with the needle hopping rapidly up and down, it's scary and exhilarating at the same time.

The noise of the machine.  Getting the right speed.  Worried you'll mess it all up.

You'll get used to the noise.  You can always take it slow.  And, if you become BFFs with a seam ripper (which can undo pretty much everything a sewing machine does), the fear of messing up slips away.

You'll never know what you are capable of until you try!
